Sounds simple enough, so why can we not open a paper or drive down a street without the onslaught of designs jarring to the eye? 
We live in busy times, many of us 'online' from morning until nightime. It is more important than ever to communicate effectively, whether it's online or in print. A well designed webpage, brochure or even a simple ad will make you stand out and will definitely help you achieve your end goal. 

Being Swedish, simple and clean design has always appealed to me. Growing up in Sweden, I got used to the fact that even the simplest bookshelf from Ikea down the road was designed with purpose and beauty in mind (why it came with an allen key and sadistic instructions, still not sure..)
