Seemingly a controversial release based on basically not being the SKX007... Does it deserve to be dismissed by watch collectors out there? Anything wrong with an updated movement, hacking & manual wound movement?

The Unimatic Modello Uno (U1-FN) does have a great utilitarian feel to it. The reduced lines and numbers on the bezel suits the watch perfectly. The best Seiko nickname and awesome design. Yes, it has a movement that is made in Malaysia and would need some small adjustments at least weekly to tell exact time, and a Hardlex crystal. But…it’s the ‘Samurai’(!) and look at that awesome lug design! It has a tsunami wave logo on the back! Sold.
