The stunning Halios Seaforth pastel blue. It sold out over and over until three editions were all gone. Still sought after today, it's still possible to get one. The question is, should you? I cover this in my video here.
Let’s chat about a watch that is as home on a hike as it is in an office, and it’ll cost you less than a pair of shoes for your newly fashion conscious teenage offspring, it’s The Seagull 1963.

I don’t love homages usually but I decided to hand over some of my hard earned money at a recent AliExpress sale for the version 4 of this watch. This one has a slightly different crystal and a new logo. So is it any good? Let’s have a look.
The Spring Drive is a unique movement that combines the high torque of a mechanical watch with the high precision integrated circuit control system of an electronic watch. It intermittently applies a magnetic brake which gives you that absolutely perfect sweep of the seconds hand which is so incredibly calming to watch. The Snowlake is one of the most beautiful watches in the world and I hope you enjoy the video.
The Tudor Pelagos is the most comfortable watch that I own and it gets more wrist time than any other piece. I love it. I took my time reviewing the watch since I really wanted to give a long term perspective on the watch. Spoiler alert, it's great.
As you see in the video, this is well worn and loved. A few small scratches does not bother me. Check out the full review here.
Interestingly and unlike what feels like every other watch company in the world, there’s not been a proper dive watch as such in their arsenal but that’s about to change. And with some of the best diving in the world in Australian waters, it’s very fitting. Even if all you do is play in the rockpools or the many awesome beaches of this country, this one is for you. Sailcloth straps. It's a tricky material that takes time to soften up and due to its rigid nature, can be a little uncomfortable initially.
Adelaide, Australia, based Artem straps makes a beautiful high quality product that is worth your hard earned money. Macro photos do not lie. Read full article here.
Unrivalled value for money is what the Helm Vanuatu is known for. Does it live up to its reputation? I think so and I decided that this watch was worth a video review near its element, the ocean. Enjoy!
I'm excited to bring more of my watch collection to youtube in future, here's my first video under my own name, of the beautiful Halios Fairwind Bathyal Blue. If you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe :)
A watch that commemorates...Chernobyl? What da...? Well, digging a little deeper we learn that it commemorates the heroes of this horrible event, and every sale contributes to charity to help with the ongoing fallout of the people involved. Importantly, it's also a super cool looking watch.

The party trick is the silhouettes of Manta Ray just underneath the surface of the dark blue ocean. It’s incredibly subtle, don’t expect anybody to see these without having them pointed out. Much like manta ray, or even small sting rays in real life, they don’t exactly advertise their presence, but rather gently glides near the bottom of the ocean and a silhouette may be all you ever see. It’s a beautiful touch and it’s the reason I bought the watch.
So does everything line up properly? Don't be silly... Read full review here

I'm finally back with a new watch for 2021!
Today I have a new watch from MWC, the Collins Auto Classic. Once again I may be in the unique position of being the only Melburnian to review the watch, which means I’m well aware of Collins Street in Melbourne. That said, the surname Collins is one of those historical names that seems to show up absolutely everywhere in Australia, much like Bourke. I won’t go into the history of the name and how it relates to English explorers, let’s just concentrate on the Melbourne financial district which is a rather pleasant area of Melbourne.

The Sinn EZM 12 is made for medical professionals, in fact it was designed in direct collaboration with doctors and emergency personnel, in particular air rescue services.
When was the last time you read a description specifying features like an easily removable bezel and strap, to wash out bacteria or even blood?
This is a tool watch like no other. Meet the Sinn EZM 12
The absolute classic that is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was launched around the time of the quartz crisis and here was a steel watch at the same price as a gold watch with a rather controversial design. It was simply bad timing and it was in fact a failure upon launch, even to the point where some employees were rumoured to have been given one to boost numbers. But, Audemar Piguet kept investing and marketing the watch and of course it is now a modern day classic!
I review watches that I own, there are no paid reviews here. I want to give you an honest view of what it's like to live with these watches.More about me.
