Heitis crystal ball8/6/2020 Naming a watch after the Greek Titan God of the Ocean-Stream is certainly a statement! Making it look like something Alexander The Great might have mounted on the side of his chariot definitely supports that. However, should you take this into the water or even deskdiving?

Laco Love3/6/2020 A modern German with flair and style, hard to resist right? Well, it was for me anyway! I came across this watch from the Red Dot awards and I really liked the look of it. It's large but fairly slim - would it fit?
Read on... It's Tuxedo time3/5/2020 Actually, that is, 'well dressed samurai' time! My leather band arrived and I've now had plenty of time to form an opinion on the lovely Seiko SARX045. It's a beauty and despite being a JDM model only, I really think you should pull the trigger.

One thing that I'm really struck by is why this is not called the Tuxedo Samurai? There are so many dramatic angles that it does remind me of my actual Samurai. This was my first dealings with Gnomon Watches, how did that go? Hamilton Khaki 42mm10/4/2020 Just because you can buy a Hamilton Khaki Automatic in 42mm doesn't mean you should...or does it? The beautiful textured dial and incredible value for money does indeed work in the larger size - take that forums!
Read my full owners review here. Why so Hublot?8/4/2020 Classy Swiss luxury watch made of titanium and metal, with fancy skeleton dial and priced at a gazillion dollars? Heard it all before and not interested? Me too, but I got to handle this lovely Hublot Classic Fusion and came away impressed.

Is it worth paying through the nose for second hand models that will never be made again? You are the only one that can answer that, but I would like to share what the Seaforth is like owning! Read my review here.
Richardt Mejer Automatisk (Moss)29/2/2020 This is like nothing else that I own. It’s a rather angular case and it definitely does not hug your wrist. Is this form over function? Perhaps a little bit. But it still looks as good on your wrist as off it, so what’s wrong with a watch that breaks the norm here without getting silly. I love wearing this watch and it's extremely photogenic! Read my owner's review here. Seiko Presage 'Cocktail time'14/2/2020 Is that blue dial as amazing as everyone says it is? It's a Seiko so we know it'll last and it will be well made. I do like cocktails so there’s another nickname I can get behind.
However, is it too fancy? Can/should it be worn even when not wearing a suit? Read my owners' review here. Seiko 5 Sports '5KX'22/1/2020 Seemingly a controversial release based on basically not being the SKX007... Does it deserve to be dismissed by watch collectors out there? Anything wrong with an updated movement, hacking & manual wound movement? I don't think so and I think it's worth reading this owner's review if you're considering one. Read review here. Unimatic Modello Uno14/1/2020 The Unimatic Modello Uno (U1-FN) does have a great utilitarian feel to it. The reduced lines and numbers on the bezel suits the watch perfectly. I also like the smaller hour markers on the watch and, the DLC coating that makes it all black, is lovely. What is it like to wear and live with every day? Read my full review here.
Seiko Prospex 'Samurai'7/1/2020 The best Seiko nickname and awesome design. Yes, it has a movement that is made in Malaysia and would need some small adjustments at least weekly to tell exact time, and a Hardlex crystal. But…it’s the ‘Samurai’(!) and look at that awesome lug design! It has a tsunami wave logo on the back! Sold. Read my full review here LIV GX Swiss Auto Ceramic Diver's 300M15/12/2019 A rather problematic Kickstarter campaign did eventually yield a solid watch. It is the least extreme design of the lot and if you like these sorts of watches, a solid buy. Before you do go and buy your own LIV watch, I'd highly recommend reading my full reivew here.
